A new space for conversation, inspiration and motivation (plus some light coaching…)
Evening guys! I’ve discovered this ‘thread’ feature on Substack, which seems like a great place for us to have more open & interactive conversations (as opposed to just me, throwing thoughts at you via a newsletter). This won’t necessarily be a weekly slot, but it’ll always arrive on a Sunday and will be an opportunity for us to share ideas, inspiration and encouragement, hence the name: Sunday Salon.
I’m gonna kick off with a coaching q I like to ask myself when I’m swimming in the depths of existential dread on a Sun night/Mon morn:
What one thing could you do to make this week better?
It could be a thought process, a habit or a micro goal you wish to accomplish…
Mine is: Drink 6x glasses of water everyday. For some reason I’ve gotten out of the habit of drinking water during the day (maybe cause it’s so cold?) and I end up feeling really crappy in the afternoon before realising I’m just dehydrated. Very simple, small act but with a high impact!

Love this idea! I also need to drink more water, I also recently realised that I don’t drink enough. I love tea and coffee and I mostly drink tea all day, but water is also important. I also want to be more consistent with my daily yoga practice. Sometimes I just struggle to get myself to do it, those cold days especially aren’t very inspiring, but I know that it’s doing me good long term.
Definitely manageable every single day, so I admit that I’m just being lazy 😅 I have to add that I mostly do it at home though. I go to a studio maybe once a week or less, I usually prefer to do it at home because the quality of yoga in my area isn’t the best in my opinion. I always feel better after even just 20-30 minutes, so there’s no excuse not to do it! But often laziness and procrastination wins 😂
Lovely idea and great for keep us accountable! Mine is to eat a proper breakfast each day this week. I'm trying to encourage healthy food options in the morning to help kickstart my dad. This morning I had sourdough bread with some kimchi and an omelette.
